Emphasis on the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts. A concern with wholes rather than analysis or separation into parts. A term that describes an inclusive or integral approach that deems each system or object as more than the sum of its parts. A holistic approach means that the system as a whole determines the way it behaves. In business, the parts that go into a process, program, or system determine how successful the overall outcome may be.
