Social Media for Corporations

Posted by: Jennifer K. Robinson on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

I have passion for blogging.  Collaboration and communication excite me and encourage me to seek information and learn.  I love how everything connects and how social media ignites topics.

One of my posts from Newly Corporate was published on the front page of Brazen Careerist as a teaser this week.  The topic was about What Sorority Life Taught Me About Business.  The experience was very interesting because the article was heavily critiqued.  The audience at Brazen Careerist was much tougher than what we get at any of my other sites.  I enjoy constructive criticism in blogging because it challenges me to be a stronger author so I don’t mind.

Brazen Careerist helped me find an interesting post by Riveting Rosie on using social media to communicate with customers. I believe in social media and think that more corporations need to explore web 2.0 and e-tools to reach their customers so it was great to read her article which links to a story about Jet Blue for adopting Twitter as a communication tool for their customers via www.socializedpr.com. These article finds were great for me because I want to know more about overcoming barriers corporations feel about using social media tools to communicate and collaborate.

Jennifer, thanks for the link and glad you enjoyed the example of JetBlue. It’s definitely an interesting topic of social media and corporations and how they’re using them now and what the potential is for the future. If you find any other interesting stories, please send them my way.
